With over 27 years of experience as a physical therapist and athletic trainer,
I have developed a treatment philosophy that will work with you to help you achieve your goals. The sooner we start, the better!
Dr. Hustad is a Fellow of the AAOMPT, which exist to provide the highest level of musculoskeletal care through advanced manual therapy practice.
During your assessment you will be listened to. Often, the patient (client) will tell the medical professional what is wrong. Due to productivity pressures that doctors and therapist are under, the art of listening is usually sacrificed. When this happens, valuable diagnostic information is missed, and therefore, optimal treatment is not achieved.
What to expect during your appointment:
1. A full discussion about your current and past medical health and how that relates to your current situation, in a relaxed atmosphere, without the business of a typical clinic.
2. A comprehensive evaluation, which may include special testing, manual and functional assessments, and follow-up questions as they relate your your assessment.
3. Putting all the pieces of your puzzle together to implement a plan that works for you, to achieve YOUR goals. This process is patient centered for quality outcomes, efficiently.
4. "Homework" for you, day one, to give you relief and hope
that you can make a difference in how you feel.
Dr. Hustad has taken many continuing education courses over his career, but his biggest influences to shape his treatment philosophy have been MAPS and the SFMA/FMS series. This combination of manual therapy plus movement observation can help you greatly on your road to recovery.
MAPS: Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars: Fellowship training completed
SFMA: Selective Functional Movement Assessment: SFMA and FMS trained:
Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainer skills meet bike fit service!
Goal: To blend you and your bike to ride with more comfort and efficiency
As a physical therapist/athletic trainer I have spent decades analyzing human movements and helping people to achieve their goals. Meshing my clinical skills to my love for cycling is a natural progression to continue to help others live a better quality life, on the bike!
Full Fit Process
Step 1: Full musculoskeletal assessment to see how you move off your bike. Specific corrective exercises as needed. ~ 30-60 minutes
Step 2: Assess you ON the bike to see how you mesh with your bike. Bike adjustments/recommendation based on video/laser analysis, observations, discussions to fine tune your comfort and function. 60-120 minutes
The full fit can take between 2-3 hours. Ideally this will all take place on one visit.
Step 1 and Step 2 could be split into 2 visits if necessary.
The cost of the Full Fit Process: $225
Step 3: Follow-up adjustments (a different day) based on your future ride/feedback – as needed. Cost will be dependent on time necessary.
All biking can be fun but make sure you have a quality bike fit to make your rides even more enjoyable!

"Cory Hustad is definitely a great physical therapist. I always enjoyed my appointments because I felt better after each time. He really cares about his clients and he also has a sense of humor. I highly recommend him!"
